Commit to providing food for one designated meal service (breakfast, lunch, or dinner) at My Sister’s Place Women’s Center. My Sister’s Place Women’s Center is a day resource center for women and children in Baltimore City experiencing poverty and homelessness. Volunteers have the option to serve the meal and eat with clients after.
Volunteers must drop off food at the shelter prior to meal service (breakfast: 7:00-9:00am, lunch: 11:00am-1:00pm, dinner: 4:00-6:00pm). Meals should feed around 50 people.
If serving a meal, volunteers 14 or under require a parent/guardian present. Volunteers 16 or older do not need a parent/guardian present. If not serving a meal, any age can participate in the meal preparation off-site.
Meals can be prepared and/or sourced from any location; meals must be dropped off to My Sister’s Place Women’s Center in Mount Vernon, Baltimore City.
