Good Deeds Month: Pack Stuffed Animal Care Packages through Noya’s Bears

GDM Noya Bear

This Good Deeds Month, join us for a very special project in memory of Noya Dan z”l. Noya was an amazing, sensitive, and unique child with special needs, known for her big heart and love of stuffed bears. She was tragically murdered in Kibbutz Nir Oz on October 7, 2023. Through this project, we will honor her memory and her love for her stuffed bears and all the Israeli children who lost their lives that day. We hope to raise awareness about the importance of acceptance and support for children, youth, and adults with special needs.

This initiative is a collaboration with The Associated’s Baltimore-Ashkelon Partnership and will take place simultaneously in both communities. In Baltimore, our care packages—including a stuffed animal—will be donated to local organizations. In Ashkelon, high school students will be assembling care packages and will give them to kindergartners.

There are two ways in which you can get involved with Noya’s Bears:
1. Donate a new stuffed animal – Purchase one through our Amazon Wish List or purchase one on your own.
2. Join us on April 1 from 6:00 – 7:30pm at Baltimore Hebrew Congregation to assemble care packages in community.

We welcome participants of all abilities. If you need any accommodations, please let us know.
