Our advocacy and consulting services are designed to empower you to advocate for your child with confidence, ensuring they receive the support they need to thrive in school and in life.

We work with Jewish children with disabilities, from birth to age 21, whether they attend home school, private school or public school.

Meet Martha Goodman, Your Advocate and Consultant

With 20 years of experience as a special education advocate and a degree in Political Science from Drew University, Martha is a devoted advocate for families with children who have disabilities. Her dedication is deeply personal, driven by her own experience with her daughter Meira, who has Down Syndrome. Martha is committed to guiding families through the often-complex world of educational support.Whether with IEP meetings or connecting families to essential resources, Martha’s personal approach and dedication make her a powerful force for positive change.

Credentials: Member of COPAA, the Educational Advocacy Coalition, the Special Education State Advisory Council and the Kodem Kol Advisory. Certification in Customized Employment and a registered support broker in Maryland.

We’re Here to Support Your Family

Check out our comprehensive range of support services to help meet your family’s unique needs. Thanks to The Associated: Jewish Federation of Baltimore, these services are offered free to families in the Jewish community and for a reduced fee to other qualified families.

When you or your child’s teacher have concerns about development or progress in school, Martha can help guide parents from the very beginning on gathering information and creating a plan for addressing any delays or disabilities


Martha will assist in advocacy for the eligibility, development, and implementation of Infants and Toddlers IFSP, IEP, 504, Service Plans for private and parochial school students.


If parents and their child’s school are in disagreement regarding an aspect of their education or services, parents have rights for recourse. Martha can be of great help for resolving the situation.


Martha can help identify sources of financial assistance that may be available.


Students with disabilities may be eligible for specialized transportation. Martha will aids in any challenges associated with traveling to school.


When students reach an age to exit school services, the options for postsecondary services are varied. Martha can help guide families through the planning and process.
